Doesn't science disprove God?

Science is the study of how the physical world works - its methods are designed to find natural mechanisms, not to detect or rule out a Creator who stands behind nature itself. Asking science to disprove God is like asking a metal detector to find justice; it's the wrong instrument for the question.

Far from being enemies, modern science grew up in a Christian worldview that expected an orderly, intelligible universe made by a rational God. Kepler, Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, and many founders of their fields were devout believers. Science explains the mechanism; it doesn't remove the need for a Mind behind the mechanism.
